Since 2007, the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Office for Spiritual Civilization of the CPC Central Committee, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, the Communist Youth League Central Committee, the All-China Women’s Federation, and the Political Work Department of the Central Military Commission have jointly organized a national selection and commendation event for moral role models every two years. These initiatives have vigorously promoted the cultivation and practice of socialist core values, fully leveraged the exemplary and leading role of moral role models, carried forward traditional Chinese virtues, fostered new trends and a fresh ethos for our times, and continuously raised the ideological awareness, moral standards, and civilizational literacy of the people. The goal is to encourage everyone to become practitioners of noble morality, guardians of civilized conduct, and creators of a better life, thereby fostering a robust social atmosphere characterized by reverence for virtue, emulation of the virtuous, and the universal pursuit of moral excellence. With the approval of leading comrades of the Party Central Committee, we are now launching the ninth national selection and commendation event for moral role models.
